The ASHI chapter I belong to has just finished up on a promotion we do every year. "Fall Senior Safety Check-up". During one of my inspections I found excessive amounts of moisture ( storm door complete sheet of ice, mold in attic, rusted roofing nails in attic) all from her having her humidifier turned to high. I couldn't believe it at first and checked more things. As it turned out there was moisture and mold in 2 of her exterior walls, then she ended up with 2 spots on her lungs. WOW all from turning up the humidifier to much. Everyone who has a humidifier needs to make sure it is working correctly and is set at the right humidity level for your area. I live on the front range of Colorado and my humidifier is set at 24% according to my HVAC tech.

I am a small town boy from Wyoming trying to make a life in the mountainous state of Colorado. I started a home inspection business last year, after over 30 years in residential & commercial construction. I am finding it very hard to find customers, but will not quit trying. You would think that clients would flock to me with my past experiance. Going out the door this morning to find some realtors to talk to, see to you later.
